Each standard 160 character text message sent to JERRY costs $4.50. This cost does include the reply message for FREE. For pre-paid phones the cost will be deducted when you send a text in. For plans, the amount will show on your monthly Bill as the service name or number. JERRY is not a subscription service. You will never be billed for any messages sent to your phone from JERRY.
No. A single text message is 160 characters. However, most phones allow you to write longer messages. If a text message is over 160 characters it will be divided in to 2 questions and therefore you will be charged twice.

Jerry answers text's using his mobile phone. He is always up to date with the newest of information and keeps his ears close to the ground for fresh gossip.
In exceptional circumstances you may not receive your answer to your text message within a couple minutes. This may be because of a high influx of questions that causes delays or it may be a technical problem with the handset or phone carrier or you have sent in a difficult trivia that may take JERRY some time to research for you. Jerry may send you a message if you have not used the service for a while and he has some fresh gossip but this will not charge your phone. You are only charged when you send Jerry an SMS. These messages will start with 'FreeMSG:'. If you wish to stop receiving these messages you can unsubscribe from the service by texting in STOP to 0428896297.
He will only answer questions about service issues. If you have not received your answer please email him with your Mobile number, the time you messaged in and the content of your message so he can check up why you haven't received your answer. Most of the times it is because your phone plan doesn't allow Premium SMS messaging (you can contact them directly to turn this on)

AQA Mobile Pty Ltd (Company) has a commitment to complying with its obligations in respect of your privacy in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (Privacy Act). If you are a user of our Messaging Services, we collect information from you when you use our Messaging Services.

By engaging with and using the Service you agree with AQA Mobile Pty Ltd (“Jerry”, “we” or “us”) a company incorporated in Australia to be bound by and abide by the following terms and conditions. In this document the service “the Service” refers to a premium SMS service owned by the proprietary limited company ‘AQA Mobile’. The Words “client”, “you”, “them”, “customers” and “they” are references to any person who sends a text into the Service. These terms and conditions may be changed by us at any time without prior notice to you. With continued use of the Service you are expected to view the most current Terms and Conditions.
1. Age restriction
1.1 If under 18 years of age you must have the phone holders permission before messaging JERRY. 199-JERRY will not be held accountable for any persons aged 14 and under messaging into the service. This is the responsibility of their parents/guardians. All marketing tools/promotional giveaways will clearly state this.
2. The 199-JERRY Service
2.1 When you send an SMS question to the Service Jerry will try his hardest to ensure you get a correct answer as soon as possible. Jerry will also do his best to ensure that the information provided to you is accurate. However the Service is not whole proof and from time to time mistakes are made. The Service often relies on other people to supply us with information to answer your question and the information they supply may be incorrect. Because of this Jerry does not make any promises about the accuracy of the information he provides to you or how up to date it is.
2.2 In engaging with the Service we assume that you will only use the Service for entertainment purposes and that you will not rely on the Service to make decisions or act in a way which could affect your own or someone else’s life, wealth or general wellbeing. Jerry is not liable for Your actions in response to the answer or answers You have received.
2.3 During periods where there may be an influx of questions 199-JERRY may take longer than a couple of minutes to respond to your question and occasionally your answer may have spelling or grammatical errors. The service is not fool proof. Jerry prides himself on getting the answer correct rather than using generic vague answers. Infrequently upstream phone providers can have technical problems affecting Jerry’s ability to send and receive questions. This can result in significant delays. When this occurs a message is posted on the website!
2.4 More specifically, with respect to Our response to any “who am I” type questions You accept and understand that:
(i) Jerry’s answer may indeed be correct and or accurate, but
(ii) frequently Jerry’s answer is not correct or accurate and may in fact be entirely wrong and without any intention on Jerry’s part, possibly even be offensive to You.
2.5 So that we can all enjoy the 199-JERRY Service we need you to abide by some rules. Specifically, You agree:
(i) You will not use the Service in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
(ii) You will not use the Service for any purpose that would result in, or otherwise be related to, any unlawful activity, or would cause you to defame, or harm any other person or organisation in any way;
(iii) You will not misrepresent Your identity or Your contact details; and
(iv) You are fully authorised to employ the payment mechanism used to pay for the Service and by sending a question to the Service you agree that you will be charged a fee by the Service.
Jerry will be relying upon each of these statements from You and you provide them to us every time You use the Service.
3.1 You agree to indemnify and hold AQA Mobile pty ltd., its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, agents, directors, contractors, licensors and other partners and employees, harmless from any loss, liability, claim, or demand, including reasonable attorney’s fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of or in connection with (a) your use of the Service, and (b) the breach by you of your representations and warranties set forth herein.
3.2 199-JERRY, employees and associated partners of 199-JERRY will not be held liable for actions resulting from answers received from 199-JERRY. Specifically this includes any claims for loss of income or defamation.
3.3 199-JERRY provides answers for entertainment purposes only. Advice provided by the service is not professional in nature, and should not be relied upon when making decisions or taking actions that could afford them, or any other person their life, health, wealth, or happiness.
3.4 199-JERRY reserves the right to refuse to answer a question if there is a breach of these Terms and Conditions.
4. Privacy Statement
4.1 199-JERRY respects the privacy of its customers. If you specifically and knowingly provide any personal information via the Service, you consent to us lawfully using that information (E.g. to provide promotional or other information to you). For information about our collection and use of information in connection with the Service, please read our Privacy Statement (attached).
4.2 199-JERRY reserves the right to store all mobile numbers received. 199-JERRY may then use these numbers to do bulk broadcasts promoting the 199-JERRY service or any changes to the service. 199-JERRY will not charge the customer for any messages sent to their phone.
4.3 199-Jerry may send you a FREE promotional message reminding you about the Service from time to time. This will not charge your phone and the same ‘OPT OUT’ or ‘STOP’ conditions apply whereby you can send STOP to 0428896297
4.4 No Spyware or unlawful means are used to collect any information used in the Services answers. All information is publicly and lawfully available.
5. Service Cost
5.1 The service is not a subscription service. Each question sent to the service costs 4.50$ (G.S.T inclusive). The researched answer sent back to your phone costs $0.00. By sending a question to the service you agree to and consent to these terms and conditions and accept the cost deducted from your phone bill. By using the service you are also consenting that you have the bill payers’ permission to do so.
5.2 In most cases the to message 199-JERRY is not included within your phone cap and will be charged on top of the normal cap amount.
5.3 A refund may be eligible if you did not receive an answer to your question. Very rarely an answer will fail to send.
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 AQA Mobile pty ltd. own, or have obtained a licence from a third party to use, all intellectual property rights in the operation of the Service including without limitation, copyright in the answers we provide you, rights in the list of questions and answers we maintain and rights in all of the technology used to compile and coordinate answers and our logos and trademarks.
6.2 When You submit a question to Us and We provide a response to You, You alone have Our permission to display or otherwise transmit it to a reasonable number of Your friends, family, and acquaintances. However, You may not supply that answer as part of any commercial enterprise or relationship or include it within a commercial publication.
6.3 By submitting a question or query to us you grant us a perpetual, royalty free licence to use that question in any lawful manner including without limitation the right for Us and anyone else We authorise to publish, display, transmit, translate, or create derivations from the question, anywhere in the world, for any purpose, and embodied in any media whatsoever (whether existing now or developed later).
7.1 If you use the Service, some legislation may imply certain non-excludable terms, conditions or warranties into the contract between us, or may give you certain non-excludable remedies against us (Statutory Rights). If we breach a non-excludable term, condition or warranty, then our liability for that breach will be limited to supplying the Service again or the payment of the cost of having the Service supplied again.
7.2 Except as expressly provided in these terms and conditions, or as required by law (including under your Statutory Rights), we exclude all warranties, undertakings, conditions, terms and obligations, of any kind (including warranties as to merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose), whether express or implied, relating in any way to the Service.
7.3 Without limiting the previous paragraph and except as required by law (including under your Statutory Rights), we will not be liable (including in negligence) for:
(i) any loss of profits, loss of revenue, or any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage, incurred by or awarded against you or any other person arising directly or indirectly from your use of the Service; or
(ii) any cost, loss, liability or expense arising from death, personal injury or damage to property resulting directly or indirectly from your use of the Service.
7.4 199-JERRY will not be held liable for any injury, death or damage of as a result of misusing a 199-JERRY (AQA Mobile pty ltd. approved) promotional giveaway.
8.1 199-JERRY does not guarantee that it will continue to supply the Service indefinitely. We can stop supplying the Service at any time without notice to you, and We reserve the right to refuse to supply the Service to any person for any reason.
You are not permitted to message Jerry more than 35 times per 30 day period off any one phone. This is not a requirement of the Premium SMS code, rather a precautionary feature AQA Mobile pty ltd. has added to prevent people from receiving extra large phone bills.
10.1 We can assign Our various rights under this agreement to any other person without asking Your permission. Your rights are personal and not assignable.
11. Governing law
11.1 The laws of the State of Victoria, Australia govern these terms and conditions, and you irrevocably and unconditionally submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria, Australia to resolve any dispute that arises as a result of or in connection with this agreement.
11.2 These Terms and Conditions are to be interpreted so that they comply with all applicable Victorian laws and if any provision does not comply then it must be read down so as to give it as much effect as possible, however if it is not possible to give that provision any effect at all then it is to be severed from this agreement in which case the remainder of this agreement will continue to have full force and effect.
11.3 These Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Statement (attached) are the entire agreement between the parties as to their subject matter and supersede all prior or inconsistent statements or representations as to that subject matter.
